| Licensing received a complaint on Aug. 11, 2023 regarding Care and Supervision, Program, and Policies and Procedures. All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed from an inspection of the physical facility, interviews, and policies and procedures. Licensing confirmed the following: - Staff used inappropriate guidance strategies, which included isolating a child from other children without access to other programming options and an inappropriate warning to the child. - Staff failed to document a minor incident. The following contraventions to the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR)was determined: Section 51(1)(a), Behavioural guidance Section 56 (1)(f), Community care facility records and policies |
