| Licensing received a complaint on June 9, 2023 regarding care and supervision. All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed from interviews and documentation. The following was confirmed: - A staff was harsh to a child when the child was roughly handled, prevented from going outside with a group of children, prevented from finishing a meal, and required to walk around a room during outdoor play time. - Staff did not notify Licensing of the incident as required. Licensing determined the following sections of the Child Care Licensing Regulation were contravened: Section 52(1)(c) - Harmful actions not permitted Section 55 (2)(a) - Notification of illness or Injury |
