Report of Findings
Community Care Facilities Licensing (CCFL) received a complaint on October 12, 2023 regarding records and reporting.
  
All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed from interviews and documentation. 
 
Licensing confirmed the following:  
- The facility did not immediately notify parents of an injury that a child had sustained while at the facility.
 
The following contraventions to the Child Care Licensing Regulation was determined:  
- Section 55 (1)(a), Notification of illness or injury 
Substantiated Contraventions: Evidence for this summary report is based on a combination of the Licensing Officer’s observations, a review of facility records and information provided by the facility staff at the time of the investigation.

19010 - CCLR s.55(1)(a)(1.1)A licensee must immediately notify a parent or emergency contact if, while under the care or supervision of the licensee, the child (a) becomes ill or is injured.(1.1) In the case of a licensee who provides a care program described as Child-minding, the parent to be notified under subsection (1) is the parent who is on the premises on which the child-minding service operates.
Observation: The facility did not immediately notify parents of an injury that a child had sustained while at the facility.
