Report of Findings
Community Care Facilities Licensing [CCFL] received a complaint on November 24, 2023, alleging concerns related to care & supervision.
 
All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was obtained through interviews, observations, and a review of records. 

Licensing confirmed that staff failed to take the necessary actions to mitigate a risk that resulted from children turning over a play-structure and climbing on it.
 
 A contravention to section 7(1)(b)(i) of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act was determined.

Observation: Children in care have been flipping over a playhouse structure and climbing on it. This has been a practice for a few weeks posing a risk to the children playing in the area and on the structure.
Corrective action: The Licensee must ensure the health and safety of the children in care.
