Report of Findings
Licensing received a complaint on February 20, 2020, alleging concerns regarding Physical Facility, Records and Reporting, Licensing and Care, and Supervision. The allegations included the following details:
·The front door of the facility is propped open
·There is a strong smell of chlorine in the facility
·There are no sign in/out sheets
·The staff certificates are not posted
·A child who is fully toilet trained is having pee accidents
·Staff to child ratio is not met at pick-up and drop off time

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was obtained from observations, interviews, and a review of documentation. Licensing determined the following contraventions:
·Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) section 13(1) - Environment
·CCLR section 57(2)(c) - Records for each child

11010 - CCLR s.13(1)A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: Licensing observed the front door to be propped open.

19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c)A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation: The sign in/out sheet had some inconsistent records for the number of children in care.
