Report of Findings
On February 19th, 2020, Licensing received a concern regarding care and supervision and records and reporting. The complainant provided the following details:

Care and supervision:
- Staff give ‘time out’ to children which is not referenced in facility policies.
- Staff communicate to children using threatening language.
- A child sustained injuries during play fighting activities.

Records and Reporting:
- A child's injuries were not reported to a parent on 2 occasions.

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was obtained through interviews, records and observations.
Licensing determined the following contraventions:
- Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) Section 55(1)(a) Notification of illness or injury.
Substantiated Contraventions: Evidence for this summary report is based on a combination of the Licensing Officer’s observations, a review of facility records and information provided by the facility staff at the time of the investigation.
