| Community Care Facilities Licensing [CCFL] received a complaint on March 2, 2020, alleging concerns regarding care and supervision. The allegations included the following details: - A child sustained injuries while in care at the facility, and the complainant was not informed by staff. - Children were not being adequately supervised. - Inadequate naptime routine. All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed from photographs of the injuries, interviews, an inspection of facility records, and an inspection of the physical facility. The following contraventions were substantiated: - Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) Section 34(1) Division 4 - Supervision Group sizes and employee to children ratios - CCLR Section 46(1) Health and hygiene - CCLR Section 51(1)(a) Behavioural guidance - CCLR Section 55(2)(a) Notification of illness or injury - CCLR Section 56(1)(f) Community care facility records and policies |
