| 203 | Inadequate or Lack of up-to-date Pool Safety Plan Observation: The Pool Safety Plan (PSP) for the recreational water facility had previously been incomplete. Incomplete sections included: the location of the emergency phone and the troubleshooting problems section. A revised PSP was provided by the manager at time of inspection. Corrective Action: EHO is in the process of reviewing the revised PSP. The recreational water facility will be informed if the PSP is acceptable or if further action is required. |
| 204 | Inadequate Operator Training Observation: A Pool course has also been completed by the hotel manager. A certificate for this course was provided at time of inspection for the EHO to assess. A certificate for the online PoolSafe course was forwarded to the EHO prior to the inspection. Although the PoolSafe course is helpful, further operator training is required. Corrective Action: The need for further training was discussed at time of inspection. Staff are interested in completing pool operator training courses. Information on acceptable pool operator training courses will be provided and operator competence will be assessed by EHO. |
| 305 | Improper Maintenance of Pool Surface, Walkways, Floors and/or Construction Observation: As stated in a previous inspection report, the railing in the men's sauna is not securely mounted to the wall. It may detach and lead to severe burns, should a patron come in contact with the sauna element. Corrective Action: Repair this railing to prevent accidental injury. |
