Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: Alkalinity was determined to be 31 ppm during inspection. This does not meet the regulatory requirement of 80-120 ppm. Operator is aware that this has been an ongoing issue for this pool, and measures and adjusts alkalinity on a daily basis. Public Health Significance - low alkalinity can lead to pH bounce within the pool water. Corrective Action: Ensure that pool staff continue to monitor and adjust alkalinity on a daily basis. |
305 | Improper Maintenance of Pool Surface, Walkways, Floors and/or Construction Observation: Observed some debris in the hair and lint strainer in one of the pool features circulation pumps. Public Health significance - insufficient cleaning of hair and lint strainers can provide harbourage for chlorine-resistant bacteria, as well as reduce circulation of pool water in extreme cases. Corrective Action: Ensure that hair and lint strainers are monitored, and cleaned on a regular basis to prevent build-up of debris. |
