Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
407 | Critical Inadequate depth markings Observation: Depth markings observed clearly marked on floor around pool and wall around pool. Depth markings only represented in feet. Corrective Action: Ensure that depth markings are clearly marked in feet (Imperial) and meters (metric units). |
408 | Critical Lack of required safety equipment Observation: Throw ring observed with no rope attached to the ring. Corrective Action: The length of the tether must be a minimum length of 2 times the width of the pool plus 3 meters. This tether is important for reeling in stressed bathers to the edge of the pool during emergencies. |

This new liner was not approved prior to installation. All major changes to the pool requires a construction permit from the local environmental health officer unless waived. Corrective Action: Please submit the specifications for the pool liner for evaluation. Public Heath Engineer (phe@northernhealth.ca) |
420 | Inadequate daily maintenance records Observation: Inadequate maintenance records. Combined available chlorine not measured. Corrective Action: Ensure combined available chlorine (CAC=TAC-FAC) is measured and recorded at least twice daily. CAC should measure less than 1.0 ppm. |
