407  Critical Inadequate depth markings
Observation: Depth markings observed clearly marked on floor around pool and wall around pool. Depth markings only represented in feet.
Corrective Action: Ensure that depth markings are clearly marked in feet (Imperial) and meters (metric units).
408  Critical Lack of required safety equipment
Observation: Throw ring observed with no rope attached to the ring.
Corrective Action: The length of the tether must be a minimum length of 2 times the width of the pool plus 3 meters. This tether is important for reeling in stressed bathers to the edge of the pool during emergencies.

Observation: Vinyl pool liner replaced. Liner pattern was dark blue with white imitating water ripples. Liner was smooth. This new liner was not approved prior to installation. All major changes to the pool requires a construction permit from the local environmental health officer unless waived.
Corrective Action: Please submit the specifications for the pool liner for evaluation. Public Heath Engineer (phe@northernhealth.ca)
420   Inadequate daily maintenance records
Observation: Inadequate maintenance records. Combined available chlorine not measured.
Corrective Action: Ensure combined available chlorine (CAC=TAC-FAC) is measured and recorded at least twice daily. CAC should measure less than 1.0 ppm.
