Licensing received a complaint on August 15, 2022, alleging concerns regarding care and supervision and notification of injury or illness. The allegations included the following details: Care and Supervision - A child was unsupervised while on a field trip to Lynn Canyon Park. Notification of Injury or Illness - The Licensee did not immediately inform a parent that their child was unsupervised while on a field trip to Lynn Canyon Park. All areas of the compliant were fully investigated. Evidence was collected through documents obtained from the facility, interviews, and a review of the field trip location by the Licensing Officer. documentation. Licensing determined the following contraventions: - Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA) 7(1)(b)(i) Health, safety and dignity of persons in care. - Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) 39 (1) Children are supervised at all times. - Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) 55(1) Parent immediately notified if a child is involved in a reportable incident. - Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) 55(2) Licensing Officer notified within 24 hours if a child is involved in a reportable incident. |
