Report of Findings
On August 12, 2021, Licensing received a complaint alleging concerns related to staffing, medication, and care and supervision. The allegations included the following details:

Staffing:
- There is a shortage in staff and the care needs of a person in care are not being met.

Medication:
- There were changes made to the medications a person in care was taking.

Care and supervision:
- A person in care was asked to walk more despite their medical condition.
- A person in care had a decline in status and no nursing care was provided.

All areas of the complaint were thoroughly investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed from interviews, correspondence with the facility, and inspection.

The following contraventions were determined:
- Residential Care Regulation - Section 61 Self monitoring of community care facility.
- Residential Care Regulation - Section 68 (4) Medication safety and advisory committee.

Observation: Licensing determined that several documents were missing initials in a person in care's care records.

Observation: Licensing determined that the medication administration records were not being kept updated for a person in care.
