Report of Findings
On January 20, 2021, Licensing received a complaint alleging concerns regarding Nutrition, Care and Supervision, Staffing and Policy and Procedures.

The allegations included the following details:

- The Person in Care (PIC) had significant weight loss as a result of staff not knowing how to feed the PIC
- A PIC was not transferred to hospital in a timely manner, resulting in complications
- Leadership was not present on weekends and concerns were not acknowledged

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed through communications with facility management, the complainant, and a review of documentation.

The following contraventions were determined:
- Residential Care Regulation Section RCR 85(1)(d)- Policies and Procedures
- Residential Care Regulation Section 81(4) (b)(i) Care Plan Needed If More than 30 Day Stay
