Report of Findings
On April 22, 2022, Licensing received a complaint alleging concerns related to care and supervision, and nutrition and food services. The allegations included the following details:

Care and Supervision:
- Appropriate medical intervention and care was not provided.
- Staff allegedly hit a person in care.

Nutrition and Food Services:
- Meals provided were not appropriate to the care needs of a person in care.
- There was no communication provided to the representative regarding the care plan and meal intake.
- Staff are not force feeding during mealtimes.

All areas of the complaint were thoroughly investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed from interviews, correspondence with the facility, and inspection.

The following contraventions were determined:
- Residential Care Regulation - Section 82 Implementation of care plans.
- Residential Care Regulation - Section 85 (1)(d) Policies and procedures.

Observation: It was determined that staff didn't document a person in care's intake for twenty-three meals.
