Report of Findings
On June 29, 2022, Licensing received a complaint alleging concerns regarding Nutrition and Food Services and Care and Supervision.

The allegations included the following details:
- Poor food quality and not meeting the PIC's food preferences
- the PIC's developed medical conditions which were not addressed in a timely manner leading to a further deterioration in condition.

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was collected through review of documentation and communications with the facility management.

The following contraventions were determined:

- Residential Care Regulation Section 85(1)(a) Polices and procedures

33220 - RCR s.85(1)(a)A licensee must do all of the following: (a) have written policies and procedures for the purposes of guiding staff in all matters relating to the care and supervision of persons in care.
Observation: There is no policy instructing staff to reweigh PICs when gross discrepancies are noted and to utilize a similar method for weighing PICs to ensure consistency.
