Report of Findings
Licensing received a complaint on December 15, 2022, alleging concerns regarding Licensing, Health and Hygeine, and Nutrition. The following concerns were raised:

-Children are picked up in an unlicensed area of the home
-Staff are potentially reusing tissues with multiple children
-The menu is lacking nutrition
-Parents are not informed when other foods are given to children

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was collected through an interview with the Manager, review the facility Nutrition policy and reviewing evidence. Licensing determined the following contraventions:

-Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) section 10 (1)
-CCLR section 56 (2)

Observation: Through an interview with the Manager and observations, Licensing determined that care was being provided in the upstairs area of the home, which is not licensed.
Corrective action: Corrective action plan received
13071 - CCLR s.56(2)A licensee must ensure that the policies and procedures referred to in subsection (1) are implemented by employees.
Observation: Through an interview with the Manager, observations and reviewing evidence, Licensing determined that the facility did not consistently offer foods that follow the Canada Food Guide and the facility nutrition policy.
