Report of Findings
Community Care Facilities Licensing [CCFL] received a complaint on March 20, 2024, regarding Care and Supervision (Continuous Supervision).

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed from interviews and documentation.

Licensing confirmed that the staff had not maintained continuous supervision on March 13th when a child was injured while in care of the facility.

The following related contraventions of the Child Care Licensing Regulation was cited: Section 39 (1), Continuous supervision required.

14060 - CCLR s.39(1)A licensee must ensure that children are supervised at all times by a person who is an educator, an assistant or a responsible adult.
Observation: Continuous supervision had not been maintained at all times as a minor incident occurred when a child under the care of the facility was injured. Staff did not know how or when the minor incident happened.
Corrective action: The manager will consider and provide a written response with a corrective action plan on or before April 2, 2024
