Report of Findings
On May 15, 2023, Licensing received a complaint alleging concerns related to care and supervision, and nutrition and food services. The allegations included the following details:

Care and Supervision:
- A person in care has to wait a significant amount of time before being changed by staff.
- Staff use their full strength providing care and thereby are hurting the person in care.
- There are challenges with medical equipment to meet the care needs of the person in care.

Nutrition and Food Services:
- A person in care is offered foods that pose a choking risk, and as a result, the person in care will purchase their own food.

All areas of the complaint were thoroughly investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed through documentation, and an on-site inspection.

The following contraventions were determined:
- Residential Care Regulation - Section 85 (1)(d) Policies and procedures.

Observation: It was determined that 93 entries in the care flow sheets were not initialed for by the staff.
