| On July 24, 2019, Licensing received a complaint alleging concerns related to care and supervision, and policies and procedures. The allegations included the following details: Care and Supervision: - Care provided was inconsistent. - An assessment to be completed was not followed-up by the facility. Policies and Procedures: - There is inconsistency in addressing concerns due to change in facility management. All areas of the complaint were thoroughly investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed from interviews, person in care (PIC) records, facility records, staff written statements, and inspection. The following contraventions were determined: -RCR – Section 42 (1)(a)(b) Staffing coverage -RCR – Section 61 Self monitoring of community care facility The Licensee has submitted a corrective action plan. No further action is required by Licensing. |
