Community Care Facilities Licensing (CCFL) received a complaint on July 26, 2023 regarding care and supervision. All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed from interviews and documentation. Licensing confirmed the following: - The number of staff necessary to supervise children during field trips was not sufficient. - A field trip and transportation policy and procedure were not available to guide staff. - Daily attendance records were not maintained for all days. - Three children’s records were not available to staff. The following contraventions to the Child Care Licensing Regulation was determined: - Section 34 (1), Group sizes and employee to children ratios - Section 56 (1)(d), Community care facility records and policies - Section 57 (2), Records for each child - Section 59 (a), Records must be available |
