Report of Findings
On May 6, 2021, Licensing received a concern regarding Care and Supervision, and Policies and Procedures. The complainant provided the following details:

Care and Supervision:
-Excessive rest time for those who do not sleep.
-Child with wet diaper at pick up time on 3 occasions.

Policies and Procedures:
-Child was not picked up in a timely manner after school.
-Parents restricted from entering classroom for visits.

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was obtained through interviews. Licensing determined the following contravention:
- Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) Programs of activities 44 (1)(b) A licensee must provide to children a comprehensive and cooridinated program of indoor and outdoor activities that (b) is approrpriate for the age and development of the children in each group in the community care facility.
Substantiated Contraventions: Evidence for this summary report is based on a combination of the Licensing Officer’s observations, a review of facility records and information provided by the facility staff at the time of the investigation.

Observation: Records showed that naptime was from 1pm to 3pm daily and the manager said that all children must be in the naproom with the staff.
Corrective action: Corrective action required.
