Steps Taken to Remedy: 1. Operator is required to communicate to system users that water is not to be used and that an alternative supply of water should be made available. 2. The well must be shock chlorinated and resampled. Water should not be consumed during this time. | |
Corrective Actions Remaining: The Drinking Water Officer recommends the following steps be taken to minimize the risks associated with this water system. - Provide an alternate source of water for drinking. Corrective Actions Remaining – 1. Disinfect the well source and provide a resample 24-48hrs after all chlorine has been removed from the system. 2. Set up a time that is suitable for the Drinking Water Officer to conduct an inspection 3. Have a plan in place to deal with potential concerns by June 01, 2014. This could include a variety of things that could vary between treatment and/or an alternate source. 4. If the previous noted corrective actions do not remove the source of contamination then a form of treatment will be required. |
