This facility is currently under a Boil Water Notice
 Underlying Problems: Liard Hotsprings is located in a very remote area. Getting water results in a timely manner has been a challenge.
Flushing the system without any backup water (water truck) may create additional problems such as running out of water as it has happened in the past. Due to this reason, disinfecting of the tank and the well will not be done until the general manager brings a supply of back up water on Monday October 23, 2017. It is also been a challenge trying to figure out when the water system can be turned off for at least 8 hours to achieve disinfection of the distribution system as the lodge always has guests at night. | |
| Steps Taken to Remedy: Resort Manager and General Manager’s assistant been notified that the system is being placed on a Boil Water Notice. Resort manager is to ensure that guests are not using the water provided by this water system. Signs will be posted above washroom sinks and each guest will be provided with bottled water for brushing teeth. Water used for preparing food and for drinking will be boiled. | |
