Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
313  Critical Inadequate treatment
Observation: The lodge and 3 cabins are supplied by water from a shallow well. Each building receives water via a separate water line directly from the well. The lodge has point-of-entry UV treatment in place and so the lodge kitchen has water that has been adequately treated. As the cabins do not receive treated water, these buildings are on a boil water notice. A water sample collected on the 8th of August, 2018, from one of the cabins (room 2) contained a high amount of total coliform bacteria (162 total coliforms colony forming units per 100 mL).
Corrective Action: Signs stating “Boil Water Notice” or “Not Suitable for Drinking” need to be in place above taps in cabin bathrooms. Bottled water needs to be provided to guests for drinking and teeth brushing purposes. Arriving guests need to be notified not to consume water from the cabin taps (unless it is brought to a rolling boil for one minute beforehand).
