302 | Repeat One staff has Foodsafe in Operators absence (Sec 10 (2)) Observation: The only staff working in the store at the time of this inspection is not foodsafe certified. This is an uncorrected violation cited previous inspection. A violation ticket of $230 is being issued to the operator this time. Corrective Action: The operator must plan to provide minimum one foodsafe certified food handler on site during operating hours of the store. The operator is requested to appear for a compliance meeting with the EHO. |
507 | Critical Equipment, utensils and food surfaces are washed and sanitized (Sec 17(2)) Observation: Food contact surfaces and utensils are not being sanitized after washing. This is reoccurring violation. Corrective Action: The correct procedure for utensil washing and sanitizing explained to food handling staff. Any utensils must be washed and rinsed in warm water ( minimum 45 degree Celsius) and then sanitized in quat sanitizer solution for minimum 2 minutes. Any future reoccurrence of this violation will result in $230 violation ticket. |
Comments:
Follow up inspection to verify if operator has addressed the following violations
- Employee foodsafe training.
- Adequate washing and sanitizing of food contact surfaces.
- Inadequate supply of running hot water.
At the time of last follow up inspection, the operator had been requested by the EHO to provide a written plan to deal with these violations. However, no response has been received from the operator.
At the time of this inspection only lukewarm water was available on the double sink. The hot and cold water mixing knobs on the double sink are not in working order. The violation of inadequate amount of hot water supply also remains uncorrected.
A violation ticket of $230 is being issued to Fat Tony's Pizza Inc. for failing to provide adequately trained employee in operator's absence ( Section 10 (2) ). The ticket will be served on a later date.
In order to discuss the outstanding violations, the operator is requested to appear for a compliance meeting in the EHO's office on 8th April, 2014.
