113 | Repeat Improper Sanitary Facilities Observation: There was no paper towel dispenser at the hand washing station and access to the sink was blocked by equipment and supplies. Corrective Action: Install a paper towel dispenser and ensure that the hand washing station is readily accessible at all times. |
115 | Inadequate Insect / Rodent Control Observation: Evidence of rodent activity was observed under equipment and in hard to reach corners. Corrective Action: Efforts must be made to clear the Cabana of any unnecessary equipment and better organize supplies so that thorough cleaning can be conducted on a regular basis. Because it did not appear that all areas are cleaned on a regular basis, it was not possible to ascertain whether the droppings observed were new or old. As such, staff must thoroughly clean and sanitize the Cabana including all hard to reach spaces. All beverage containers and equipment used to cut lemons/limes/oranges should be stored in pest proof containers when not in use. This facility also has a contact with a pest control company - additional traps should be set in the Cabana for monitoring. An inspection of the building itself should also be conducted to identify and plug any possible access/entry points. |
