Observation: No corrective actions has yet been taken to improve the amount of hot running water to meet the needs of the premises. One of the employees confirmed that they occasionally run out of hot water. The operator was again advised that this establishment is not in compliance with the Food Premises Regulation for providing hot running water in adequate amount and pressure to meet the needs of the establishment. The operator was also explained that the lack of hot running water in a restaurant during an inspection may result in a closure order from EHO. The failure to correct this violation will result in further enforcement action from this office.
Corrective Action: The operator agreed to take appropriate corrective actions to provide adequate quantity of hot running water within 14 days from the date of this inspection.
116   Improper Construction / Maintenance of Establishment
Observation: Vinyl shelves being used in the pan racks have rough edges. These shelves are not easily washable.
Corrective Action: Replace the vinyl racks with a more suitable material that is easy to wash in the sink.

Observation: Water constantly running from a tap in the mop sink.
Corrective Action: Repair the tap.
302   Repeat One staff has Foodsafe in Operators absence (Sec 10 (2))
Observation: None of the employees working in the store at the time of this inspection have foodsafe training. Note: Operator Ozge Omeli Akbay, who is foodsafe certified, was not scheduled to work at that time and only arrived in the establishment on the request of EHO.
Corrective Action: This is a uncorrected violation. The operator has already been issued a $230 ticket for this violation. The operator is warned that the failure to provide minimum one employee with foodsafe training in future will result in additional violation tickets. The operator agreed to correct this violation and send copies of the foodsafe certificates to the EHO.
505   Food premises maintained in a sanitary condition (Sec 17(1))
Observation: The premises is in need of cleaning in the following areas: - Underneath the sink around the grease trap. - The wooden platform underneath the mixer. - Underneath and around the conveyers in the pizza oven. - Exteriors of the exhaust and HVAC ducts. - The vinyl shelves in the pan rack are dirty.
Corrective Action: Do a general clean up in the facility with specific attention to the areas mentioned above.

Comments:

Follow up inspection with the senior EHO.

This operator has not taken any steps to address any of the violations listed on the previous inspection. The operator had been requested by the EHO to appear for a compliance meeting scheduled today but he failed to appear for the meeting.

At the time of this inspection, the operators Atesh or Ozge were not present in the store. Upon EHO's request operator Ozge came to the store. The following items discussed with operator:

- The operator agreed to take appropriate corrective actions to increase the amount of running hot water to meet the premises needs in 2 weeks from the date of this inspection.
- The operator agreed to take appropriate corrective actions to comply with section 10 (2) and forward the EHO copies of the employee foodsafe certificates.
- One of the food handlers indicated that he has now started to sanitize the utensils after washing and rinsing. The operator to make sure that all the employees are trained in properly washing and sanitizing the utensils and other food contact surfaces. Some of the plastic containers being used in the establishment are too big to fit into the double sink. The operator is advised to either use smaller containers or to increase the size of the sinks. A poster explaining the 3 step washing and sanitizing was provided to the operator to post near the sink.

A violation ticket of $230, for the April 1st, 2014 violation for failing to provide adequately trained employee, served to operator Ozge.

A follow up inspection is required.
