Observation: The cieling tiles next to the grill line are discolored.
Corrective Action: Replace/refinish the ceiling tiles.

Observation: Test the 2 backflow preventers in the office - one for the ice machine and one next to the pop syrup dispenser - this one appears to have failed.
Corrective Action: Correct this item within 3 weeks.
402   Food is protected from contamination (Sec 12(b))
Observation: An ice bath was recently put out during the inspection and the food in the inserts measured 10C immediately, indicating that the current setup was not sufficient to prevent temperature abuse. The ice bath was removed at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action: Do not use ice baths on the premises. If you want to keep foods out without mechanical refrigeration, submit a proposal for a Food Safety Plan that incorporates time as a control. If you have questions about this, contact my office.

Observation: The ice scoop is stored on top of the ice machine.
Corrective Action: Provide an easily cleanable container for the ice scoop.

Observation: The filters for the ice machine do not appear to be on a maintenance schedule so that they are changed regularly.
Corrective Action: Ensure that all in-line water filters / conditioners are incorporated into a replacement schedule, recommend writing a "change-by" date on the filters themselves.
