Observation: The prep sink and the condensate line from the cooler drains into the mop sink in the back of the kitchen.
Corrective Action: The prep sink and the cooler condensate line should be directly plumbed into the drainage system. Consult your plumber to find out how this can be accomplished as per applicable building/plumbing code.

Comments:

This inspection done to follow up on the fruit fly problem identified at the time of previous inspection.

The operator had been asked to re plumb the prep sink and the condensate discharge line from the cooler directly into the sanitary sewer instead of draining them into the mop sink.

Spoke with the operator Marlys at the time of this inspection. The operator appears to have misunderstood the EHO request regarding re plumbing of the sink. This violation was explained to the operator again along with the corrective actions to be taken.

As per information provided by the operator, an enhanced cleaning schedule has now been implemented in the bar area. Some of the measures taken include:
-Capping of bottles.
- Regularly cleaning nozzles.
- Regular cleaning of the surfaces with sanitizer.
- Providing cellophane covers on the juice dispensers and sink drains when not in use.
- A UV bug catcher is also installed in the bar area.
- Enhanced cleaning at the closing time.

A follow up inspection in 2 weeks.
