Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

502   Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are durable/easily cleaned/ & free from toxic substances (Sec 16(a)(ii))
Observation: Many of the upright and reach in coolers have broken or missing plastic handles. As a result they cannot be easily cleaned.
Corrective Action: Replace all missing or broken handles.

Comments:

This inspection was conducted to follow-up on items noted on March 16, 2012 report. The following observations were made:

Cooler unit #3 temperature measured <4C.
Cooler unit #2 temperature measured >4C - operator indicated this unit is still scheduled for compressor maintenance.
Both units are presently being stocked with inserts at beginning of service and rotated every 2 hours because temperatures cannot be maintained at <4 during service when the kitchen is hot and the lids are removed.
The cooler under the espresso machine has been repaired and is maintaining temperature at <4C.
The paper towel dispenser in the dish area was removed, the pt dispenser by the back prep area was functioning (cover still needs to be replaced).
Tape has been removed from most inserts, food storage bins and pop dispenser holder has been properly attached.
Grate on cooler #7 has been re-attached.

Outstanding items:
1. Lights need shatterproof covers
2. Tape needs to be removed from mechanical box under dishwasher
3. Glasswasher must be repaired.
4. Pass through between bar and where ice machine is located needs to be repaired
