The stabilizer (cyanuric acid) had reached excessively high levels, rendering chlorine ineffective to disinfect the pool water. Corrective Action: Unstabilized chlorine must be used for indoor pools. Switch to another product containing chlorine without cyanuric acid such as calcium hypochlorite. Drain pool immediately and refill with fresh water. |
