Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: Total alkalinity of the pool was measured to be 76 ppm. (Ideal range:80 ppm-120 ppm) (Public Health Significance)- Low total alkalinity can cause the pH to drop and also lead to fluctuations in pH at the slightest addition of acid or alkali. This indirectlly can cause faster chlorine depletion. Moreover, low total alkalinity can cause bather discomfort, cracks and pits on pool surfaces and corrosion. Corrective Action: -Ensure that total alkalinity is brought and maintained at the regulated range of 80 ppm - 120 ppm. |
203 | Inadequate or Lack of up-to-date Pool Safety Plan Observation: Pool safety plan lacks appropriate procedures to handle diarrheal/fecal/vomitus incidents in pool water. (Public Health Significance)-Incorporating appropriate steps and procedures for fecal/diarrheal/vomitus incidents in the pool safety plan helps to take prompt action when they occur. Corrective Action: - Incorporate appropriate and accepted procedures of cleaning and disinfection following fecal/diarrheal and vomitus incidents in the pool safety plan. |
