Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
102   Improper Microbiological Pool Water Quality
Observation: Multiple water samples for July and August have tested positive for Pseudomonas aeruginosa and total coliforms (5.1 total coliforms on July 9 and greater than 16 total coliforms on July 31). Hot tub has been closed and proper cleaning procedures forwarded to the operator and staff.
Corrective Action: Hot tub must remain closed until a satisfactory water result is received (negative for Pseudomonas aeruginosa and 0 total coliforms). Ensure the proper cleaning procedures are followed to resolve the issue.
204   Inadequate Operator Training
Observation: At time of inspection there were no certified pool staff available on-site. Operator has completed a training course in the past but re-certification is required.
Corrective Action: Staff responsible for maintaining the pool must complete an appropriate training course and demonstrate thorough knowledge of pool safety and proper maintenance to the Environmental Health Officer. At least one certified pool staff member must be readily available at all times while the pool is in operation.
205   Improper Monitoring of Chemical Paramaters or Safety Tests
Observation: Records indicate that the chemical parameters for the hot tub are monitored once a day.
Corrective Action: Free available chlorine (FAC), total chlorine, combined chlorine, and pH must be monitored at least twice a day while the hot tub is in operation. This is outlined under section 10 of the BC Pool Regulation
