Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
402 | Critical Inadequate pH controls Observation: The alkalinity and the pH were both on the higher range. High pH can affect the effectiveness of chlorine, bather comfort and cause turbid water. Corrective Action: Both these parameters need to be adjusted so they are in the ideal range. Lower the pH to the 6 pH range and then adjust the alkalinity to be maintained at no more than 120ppm. Bring the pH back to between 7.2 to 7.4. |
413 | Critical Other (specify below) Observation: Floating weirs are missing on all three skimmer baskets around the pool. A floating weir is required in a skimmer. this allows one way flow from pool into the skimmer so that scum, lint, hair, etc. cannot flow back into the pool. Corrective Action: Replace the floating weirs in all the skimmers. |
414 | Lack of automatic disinfection equipment Observation: Automatic chlorinator has not been installed yet. Corrective Action: Operator must look into installing an automatic chlorinator to ensure there is a more constant and continuous feed of chlorine into the pool. Time line for this occurring must be provided. |
