Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
101   Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: Detected alkalinity level of pool water is 40 ppm, which does not meet requirements of pool regulation (80 – 120ppm) [Pool regulation section 10(e)]. pH is also lower than 7.2. RATIONALE: An alkalinity level between 80 ppm and no more than 120 ppm helps prevent pH of water from fluctuating to an undesirable level. Range of pH should be 7.2 to 7.8 to maintain adequate chlorine disinfection power and bather comfort.
Corrective Action: Ensure that alkalinity level is between 80ppm to 120ppm at all times. Corrected during the inspection as staff added sodium bicarbonate and pH adjustment chemical to circulation system. Final alkalinity level is 80ppm and pH is above 7.2. Ensure that new swimming pool operating staff are aware of all pool chemistry requirements as indicated in Pool regulation section 10.
401   Note Violation
Observation: One of the skimmers is missing a weir
Corrective Action: Please ensure that all skimmers have a weir so that the surface of the pool can be skimmed and also to prevent contaminants from floating back into the pool. Please update an EHO at 250-719-6500 by July 3, 2017.
