Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: The combined chlorine is greater than 1ppm in the hot tub. It has been recorded as greater than 1ppm over the last week. No corrective actions have been recorded to correct the combined chlorine. Corrective Action: The manager closed to hot tub to clean, flush, superchlorinate and re-ballance. Ensure the skimmer pot is removed and cleaned as well. |
203 | Inadequate or Lack of up-to-date Pool Safety Plan Observation: A hot tub safety plan was not available during the inspection. I asked workers what they would do in the event of that pool fouling and they were unaware of what actions to take. Corrective Action: Ensure a hot tub safety plan is created and available. It should be available to all person who may be involved with the hot tub, or may be reported a pool incident by a patron. |
208 | Improper Maintenance of Records Observation: The hot tub records indicated that the chemistry is being tested once time per day. Chlorine, combined chlorine, and pH are required to be tested at least twice daily. Corrective Action: Ensure chemical checks are completed twice daily, at minimum. It should be completed more often in time of high use |
