Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
101   Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: CAC measured 1.8 ppm at time of inspection. Maximum allowable concentration is 1.0 ppm.
Corrective Action: Pool was drained at time of inspection and refilled to eliminate combined chlorines. Monitor to ensure level remains below 1.0 ppm.
104   Improper Turnover of Flow Rate
Observation: Flow meter not functional at time of inspection.
Corrective Action: Repair or replace flow meter to ensure accurate monitoring of flow rate.
205   Improper Monitoring of Chemical Paramaters or Safety Tests
Observation: Chemical parameter testing kit observed to have significant black residue, which may impact ability to monitor chemistry.
Corrective Action: Replace or clean to condition kit was originally in.
305   Improper Maintenance of Pool Surface, Walkways, Floors and/or Construction
Observation: Pressure gauge not functional on spa sand filter.
Corrective Action: Replace gauge or service filter as necessary to monitor filter pressure.
308   Improper Step and/or Depth Markings
Observation: Steps are not edged with contrasting colours.
Corrective Action: This is required by legislation to prevent trips, falls, and drowning. Ensure steps are edged with contrasting colours by March 6, 2016.
401   Note Violation
Observation: Backwashing done every week. This frequency is too often, and reduces filter efficacy.
Corrective Action: Backwash when filter pressure rises 10psi above starting pressure, as per manufacturer instructions.
