Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
101  Critical Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: Combined Chlorine is above 1ppm. Elevated levels of combined chlorine can result in strong odour, eye/skin irritation, and decreased chlorine efficacy. pH is above the required range of 7.2-7.8. High pH can result in eye irritation, cloud water, scale formation, short filter runs, and decreased chlorine efficacy. Total Alkalinity is above the required range of 80-120ppm. High alkalinity can result in pH drift, increased acid demand, scaling, and cloudy water.
Corrective Action: Operator closed the pool to rebalance the water. Operator to provide a plan for addressing the high pH to the Environmental Health Officer by July 4, 2023.
102   Improper Microbiological Pool Water Quality
Observation: The last microbiological test results on file are from April 2023. Microbiological water testing is required on a monthly basis.
Corrective Action: Submit a new sample for microbiological testing or provide the Environmental Health Officer with the most recent test results.
104  Critical Improper Turnover of Flow Rate
Observation: Flow meter is broken. A flow meter is required to accurately determine the flowrate of the pool water.
Corrective Action: Investigate and order the parts for the flow meter/sensor by June 27, 2023
205   Improper Monitoring of Chemical Paramaters or Safety Tests
Observation: Water testing reagents were expired. Reagents must be used within their manufacturer specified expiry date. Expired reagents may result in inaccurate measurements.
Corrective Action: Dispose the expired reagents and order new reagents.
306   Improper Handrails, Ladders, and/or Diving Boards
Observation: One or more of the handrails for this pool are loose. All handrails need to be sufficiently secure to ensure that patrons are able to safety exit the pool.
Corrective Action: Tighten the hand railing. Consider incorporating a weekly or monthly tug test to your routine pool checks.
