Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: Water chemistry was off balance. Free available chlorine was too low, pH was low, and alkalinity was too high. The circulation system was not working at the time of inspection. No water was pumping into the pool. The pool was still open for public use. No water flowing in the skimmers. The operator mentioned that he had been trying to contact maintenance people to come to check out the chlorinator - the chlorinator was not working at the moment. this was a health hazard a the pool was not being disinfected and there was a chance that pathogen would grow. The pool was still open to the public. Corrective Action: Please adjust the free chlorine to 0.5ppm or greater; pH 7.2 to 7.6; alkalinity 80 to 120. The chlorinator must be working before the pool can be open to the public. |
208 | Improper Maintenance of Records Observation: Missing records of pool chemistry on some of the days. Corrective Action: Please always check pool chemistry and document them on a daily basis. |
