Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
205  Critical Improper Monitoring of Chemical Paramaters or Safety Tests
Observation: Log book indicated that free chlorine and pH were tested once per day. No testing was done for the combined chlorine level. pH, free chlorine, and combined chlorine need to be tested twice daily to ensure that a health hazard will not result from inadequate water chemistry.
Corrective Action: Effective immediately, test pH, free chlorine, and combined chlorine levels at least twice per day and record the levels in the water chemistry log book.
208   Improper Maintenance of Records
Observation: No logs kept of injuries, fecal release incidents, or chemicals added to the water.
Corrective Action: Use a log book to keep daily records of fecal release incidents, injuries, and chemicals added to the pool water.
307   Improper Storage of Chemicals
Observation: Chemicals in the pump room were stored on the ground and in a disorganized manner. This may lead to a hazardous chemical spill if a chemical bucket is accidentally knocked over.
Corrective Action: Store all chemicals on a shelving unit in a safe and organized manner. Ensure that chlorine and acid are not stored next to each other.
