101   Repeat Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: Total alkalinity for the pool tested at 33 mg/L, below the ideal range of 80-120 mg/L. Total alkalinity acts as a pH buffer. When the total alkalinity of the pool water is too low, pH bounce will occur and the pH will fluctuate drastically while the pool is in use.
Corrective Action: Increase the total alkalinity of the pool by adding sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) to the water. Maintain the total alkalinity between 80 - 120mg/L to stabilize pH.
104   Repeat Improper Turnover of Flow Rate
Observation: Flow meter for pool recirculation system was not operable at time of inspection.
Corrective Action: Provide an accurate flow meter in good working condition to monitor the flow rate of the pool.
205   Improper Monitoring of Chemical Paramaters or Safety Tests
Observation: Pool records indicate that water chemistry is tested only once a day. An automatic dosing device is not currently available therefore staff are manually dosing the pool with chlorine.
Corrective Action: Test pool water throughout the day to ensure proper parameters are maintained (FAC: >1.00 ppm, combined chlorine: <1.00ppm, pH: 7.2 - 7.8, total alkalinity: 80-120 mg/L). Records must show that all parameters are being tested multiple times throughout operation. Operator is to submit proposed plans to install an automatic dosing device to the Environmental Health Officer for review.
