A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

101   Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity
Observation: The free chlorine is above 5ppm, which is the maximum the hot tub operators chemical kit will observe. Hot tub operator was not aware how to dilute the sample to determine the actually chemical parameters. A chlorine test strip indicated the chlorine level was greater than 50ppm
Corrective Action: The hot tub is to remain closed until the chemical are within the regulated parameters.
102   Improper Microbiological Pool Water Quality
Observation: Microbiologically pool test have not been submitted since March of 2020.
Corrective Action: An microbiologically pool test with absent results is required before the hot tub reopens.
201   Operating without a Permit
Observation: Hot tub operating permit expired March 2020. The hot tub is operating without a valid permit.
Corrective Action: The expired hot tub permit was removed during the inspection. A permit will be granted after all infractions are corrected and permit fee is paid.
203   Inadequate or Lack of up-to-date Pool Safety Plan
Observation: The pool operator did not locate the pool safety plan during the inspection.
Corrective Action: A pool safety plan is to be completed and submitted to Northern Health for review prior to operating.
205   Improper Monitoring of Chemical Paramaters or Safety Tests
Observation: Chemical parameters are checked at maximum once daily. Safety check is not adequate, as floatation device rope was not attached.
Corrective Action: Routine chemical parameters checks, twice daily, and safety checks are required.
208   Improper Maintenance of Records
Observation: Chemicals, pumps and filters have been changed with no record of calculations, and no application for construction submitted to Northern Health.
Corrective Action: A full application with all current mechanicals components is to be submitted to Northern Health for review prior to opening, and before any mechanical change is made.
