101 | Critical Repeat Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: The chemical testing for the hot tub was performed at 3:10 pm. The test results showed pH at 7.90 and combine chlorine at 2.97 ppm. Combined chlorine levels above 1 ppm can cause skin and eye irritation, dryness, and itchiness. Additionally, it can lead to respiratory problems when the chlorine is inhaled in the form of vapour or mist and skin issues in pool patrons. pH above 7.8 may decrease the effectiveness of chlorine as a disinfectant and may cause eye and skin irritation to the patrons. Corrective Action: The hot tub will be closed to the public until the water chemistry is corrected. Operator started draining the hot tub and filling it with fresh city water. After refilling the hot tub, operator to balance the chemistry and notify Northern Health of the results. |
