401 | Critical Inadequate concentration of disinfectant Observation: Cyanuric Acid (CYA) is slightly over 100ppm. Cyanuric acid is an ultra violet stabilizer and should never be over 100 ppm. In a sunny loction CYA concentration of 10ppm is adequate. Corrective Action: The hot tub is drained weekly but to continue using stabilized chlorine, drain the pool twice per week. It is recommended that a non-stabilized chlorine be used. |
402 | Critical Inadequate pH controls Observation: pH is 8.5. Log book shouws daily addition of pH down that corrects the problem. Corrective Action: Adust to maintain 7.2 - 7.8. Ensure pH is checked and adjusted in the morning & afternoon, before guests return to the lodge. |
