Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: Cyanuric acid was measured to be 119 ppm. Cyanuric acid must be maintained below 80 ppm for safety and operational reasons as per the BC Pool Regulation. High levels of cyanuric acid can lead to overstabilization of chlorine as well as algae growth. Corrective Action: Operator must lower cyanuric acid to ensure it is maintained below 80 ppm. |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: pH was measured to be 8.07. pH must be maintained between 7.2 and 7.8 for safety and operational reasons as per the BC Pool Regulation. High pH can result in bather eye irritation, cloudy water, scale formation, and decreased effective of chlorine disinfection. Corrective Action: Operator must lower pH to ensure it is maintained between 7.2 and 7.8. |
