Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: Combined chlorine concentration was 1.62 ppm which is about the acceptable limit of 1 ppm maximum. Elevated combined chlorine may cause strong odours, eye/skin irritation, and decreased free available chlorine efficacy. Corrective Action: Operator immediately instructed staff to remeasure and balance the pool water. Staff were observed addressing the water quality. A filter backwash will also be conducted at the end of the day. |
401 | Note Violation Observation: The hot tub is lacking a flow meter through the main drain. A flow meter is needed to determine the pool’s compliance with Pool Regulation section 10(2)(k). Under this section pool water must not pass through the drain as a speed of greater than 46cm per second to prevent potential entrapment hazards. Corrective Action: Install a flow meter on the jet pump circulation line. Prior to construction, the operator must obtain either a pool construction permit or pool construction waiver (see comments). |
