Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Repeat Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: Total alkalinity was measured at 71 ppm. Re-test showed a concentration of 61 ppm. Low alkalinity can result in pH bounce, where pH fluctuates, affecting the ability of free chlorine to disinfect pool water. Maintaining free chlorine is important to reduce harmful microbes in pool water. Corrective Action: Operator to adjust alkalinity so it remains between 80 ppm to 120 ppm. Continue to monitor and record alkalinity at least once a week. |
306 | Improper Handrails, Ladders, and/or Diving Boards Observation: Handrail located at the deep end near the first aid room is not secured. Handrail should be secure to prevent possible slipping or falling hazard and injury to swimmers who are using the pool Corrective Action: Operator to secure the handrail. |
