Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
303 | Improper Condition Causing Suction or Entrapment Hazard Observation: Single main drain observed to be visible with drain cover in place and secure. Shape of drain cover was observed to be convex thus making it difficult to lay flat and cover the entire drain. Corrective Action: Please be aware that current policy is to have a minimum of 2 main drains. This current policy is required for the construction of new pools; however, this pool has been "grandfathered" in. To ensure that suction hazard is minimized please have the appropriate staff trained to shut off the pump and turn on the pressure relief valve in case of emergency. In addition, please have a procedure in this regard in place in the pool safety plan. Highly recommend to contact the appropriate engineer to retrofit the main drain system to current policies. Please have training and procedure done in 2 weeks time. |
