Observation: Main pool pH is excessively high. Chlorine disinfectant is not effective when pH is above 7.8
Corrective Action: The ideal pH is 7.4 this requires the use of a pH down products or a form of muriatic acid. Operator is draining the pool to reduce the pH because the facility ran out of pH down product.
104   Improper Turnover of Flow Rate
Observation: Flow meter during regular operation indicates the flow rate to be inadequately low, below 40 GPM. However, it appears to be working during filer filter backwash.
Corrective Action: Please check to ensure the pump is running smoothly. Operator was conducting a filter backwash during the inspection..
203   Inadequate or Lack of up-to-date Pool Safety Plan
Observation: Pool Safety Plan not available on site. This must be kept on site in cases where management is not available when an emergency occurs.
Corrective Action: Ensure a copies are made available to the front desk and in the pool chemical room. This plan must be reviewed annually.
