Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
101 | Critical Improper Water Chemistry/Water Clarity Observation: Free available chlorine was measured below 1.5 ppm, and total alkalinity was measured below 80 ppm. Combined chlorine was measured at greater than 1 ppm. Public health significance - insufficient free available chlorine prevents proper disinfection of pool water, and can lead to illness and infections. High combined chlorine can lead to irritation and reduced efficiency in disinfection. Too low of alkalinity can lead to pH swings. Corrective Action: Close hot tub until water chemistry, specifically the free available chlorine and combined chlorine, are within regulatory requirements. |
103 | Critical Improper Pool Temperature Observation: Pool water temperature was measured above 40 degrees Celsius. Public health significance - temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius can lead to hyperthermia in pool patrons. Corrective Action: Close pool until water is below 40 degrees celsius. |
